Profile
Ross Hewitt is an IFMGA Mountain Guide and has decades of experience chasing adventures around the planet with 35+ first descents in Baffin Island, New Zealand, Scotland, and Norway. His first ski trip to the alps was in 1990, but he didn’t discover Chamonix until a few years later in 1995. Following his first full season in Les Trois Vallees in 1997, Ross moved to the Chamonix valley permanently to live amongst the giants of Europe, and climb and ski as much as possible. He has been there ever since. For the last six years Ross has been sponsored by Chamonix-born Black Crows Skis. As his reputation, website and photography can attest, he definitely knows where to find and navigate the biggest lines in both Chamonix and much of the rest of the ski world. Ross is without question one of Biggest Lines’ most accomplished and trusted guides.
